Spotify Wrapped but for Everything
May. 24th, 2022 09:21 pmEver since Spotify Wrapped 2021 I cannot stop my brain, obsessed as it is about documentation, knowledge management and data analysis, from thinking about how cool and useful it would be (esp considering my sieve like memory) to be able to automatically document every thing I consume (books, fanfic, media, particularly hard-hitting social media posts, etc.), the way I consume it, and as a nontrivial side benefit have an analysis of my preferences.
I liked how illylily on AO3 created their own AO3 Wrapped but unfortunately I deleted my AO3 history in March (bc I needed to delete my 80+ paged marked for later list since I had managed to download all the MFL fics with a python script and needed to make way for the new MFL entries 💀).
It might be possible to do this if I only used my laptop (by creating an automator script or a browser extension with tampermonkey) or if I only wanted to document one kind of media (only books or movies or what have you). This kind of transmedia analysis could be an interesting and nontrivial challenge which could be useful for many others.
Like....... come on, who can resist being called out like this:
